I will keep on saying this.... Girll no one beats you in this internet. Your skills are extraordinary

Gurl.... I didn't realize how much I needed your video. I got so frustrated with the parting but seeing how you did this helped. Now I need 4 days, hair, and a swivel chair.

I braid my own hair. However parting is the ONE thing. But watching this helps out a lot

Hey Ty. As a braider myself, I think your parting method is absolutely GENIUS! I’m going to start doing my parts like that. And your braids turned out gorgeous. It usually takes me about two, to three days to do my hair. Beautiful job!! Thanks 😊 for sharing.

3 days and yes because the style lasted over a month. I’ve been braiding since I was 14 now I’m 26 and always looking for new tips. This tutorial was just what I needed thank you! ❤

Yesss sis!! I told myself I would never do small braids on myself again, but here I am 06/08/2025 lol but I've been doing my own hair since high school (I'm 46 now) I always said " why pay somebody to do what I can do?" But babbbbyy the convenience of someone else doing it❤❤but I just can't 😂 it took me a week to my ex small 60" boho braids, kept em in 2 weeks..that's what made me say NEVEERRR again..ummm..I'm doing 30" smedium bohos as I type 😂😫😫

I leave my braids in for at least 90 days, i wash them alot and oil my scalp, and use foam and keep covered alot of time with bonnet when im just at home, 3 weeks not long enough for me. Im mother of 5 and its more ideal for me to not have to do my hair everyday

It's definitely a flex doing your own hair because BAAAABEEEEEE!!!! the price it would cost in the shop for this. No thx I'ma do it myself. Idk how long it takes me. Like this style is rent money. Amazing job gurl!!

I just braided my hair extra small Twists. It took me 3 days 😭😭 my hands and back was on fire. But worth it.
My parting was free flow. No mirror.
Wanna try the brick layer method next ❤.
Thanks for the inspo

wow , better that a profesional braider

Back in the early 90s, a sista named Kitten used to do sizes micro to “Poetic”, as we called the jumbo braids. She taught me how to braid my own hair w/extensions. I think I did micro twice, took forever. But it was well worth it because human braiding hair was EXPENSIVE and stylist definitely charged a lot for micros.😮‍💨
Now, after years of shaving bald or keeping a TWA, I’m about to do my own braids- haven’t done them since 2013, y’all pray for my hands!!!🙌🏽 😩🤣🤣🤣

The first time I did faux locs on myself back in 2016, took me 3 days and when I was done, it looked like i had the locs in for months already 😫 lmao, needless to say.............ima always do my own hair no matter how long it take cause it's cheaper lol

@marquitashiver6141 2 years ago

It takes me forever to part. Took about 2-3 hours one time but in the end it was so worth it.I just pre part the rows and finger part the braids. I be wanting them to look super professional but I get over that real quick lol and be ready to get it done and over with.

I’m actually blown away, I came here to understand how to lay out the pattern to do box braids on my daughters hair. You did things I never would’ve thought about to make this easier and cleaner. Best tutorial I’ve watched by far ❤
